A quick, retro inspired hat from “The Bob Newhart Show”. It is worked from the rib all the way to the top. The rib is worked double its length and afterwards folded and sewn together to create a nice and thick fabric. Earflaps are created at the end by picking up stitches on the sides. For all baby to preschooler sizes, instructions include an extra as earflaps sections will be pre-marked by purling stitches on the sides so you just have to pick the stitches up from there. The hat is meant to be worn not too far down your ear so earflaps can do their work.
